Classification of tents in different forms and uses

Tents are generally made of various chemical fibers, cotton or blended fabrics or canvas. It usually has a single or double top and sides or walls to form a space isolated from the outside world. There are many types of tents on the market with different functions. They can be roughly divided into the following categories:

1. Children's toy tent

Children’s toy tents, whether used indoors or outdoors, are also called children’s tent houses, playrooms, and doll houses. Can be used for children's games, parent-child interaction, etc.

2. Umbrella Tent

Umbrella tents consist of a large umbrella and a "curtain", which can be fixed on the ground (for example, a bell-shaped tent fixed with nails, or a tent with a sandbag pressing the curtain inside).

Camping tent is a kind of outdoor activity tent. Generally, there are poles as support or multi-pole cross-support, on which inner and outer tents are added. Usually it has the functions of rainproof, sunscreen, windproof, ventilation, heat preservation and so on.

5. Disaster Relief Tent

It is used for disaster relief command, emergency medical treatment after disaster, temporary school buildings, transit storage of disaster relief materials, and personnel accommodation.

6. Advertising tent

It is generally used to hold outdoor exhibitions and product promotion, celebration evenings, exhibitions and sales, tourism and leisure, and can also be used as a long-term leisure facility in park tourist resorts.

7. Inflatable tent

Inflatable tents are also called apnea tents. The frame is designed with the principle of structural mechanics, and the airbag is expanded through organic combination to form a rigid column to support the tent frame. Generally used with electric air pump or pedal air pump.
